Happy New Year!! I pray that you’ve felt the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ over the past advent season and were able to find rest and were blessed with the celebration of His birth.

In my last update I shared a financial goal of reaching 60% funded by the end of 2022. God has not only met but exceeded that goal and I’m humbled to share that the support needed for 2023 has surpassed the 63% mark! God is so incredibly generous and I’m grateful to the people who have answered His prompting to support the ministry at TBC. Thank you to everyone who has prayed and/or given financially.

The TLC students are returning for the second half of their year of studies. As part of that they will do a complete survey of the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16 says that ‘All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work’.
I pray the students will see 2 Timothy 3:16 come to life for them and find a deep desire for God's Word that will help equip them for whatever God has in store for them.

This past advent season God has done just that for me. In all honesty the busyness of the past 8 months and the many significant life changes have contributed to my straying from consistent, daily devotion and prayer time. Sure, I still was reading the Word and engaging in bible study with my small group and ladies bible study (which are incredible, by the way) but I strayed from the deeply personal study that I had been doing for several years prior.

In His faithfulness, God revealed my hunger for the power of what scripture can do when we are immersed in it. In my own life I’ve found that no matter what is going on around me or the trials in my life, if I’m staying connected to His word, there is a sense of okayness that just isn’t there when I’m not allowing His Word to equip me for every good work.

Lord willing, my return to Alaska to serve on site at TBC will be in early February. My flight is scheduled to Anchorage on February 7th and I'll spend a few days there doing everything that's needed to become an official resident of the state of Alaska! It’s been incredible to be in Illinois the past few months and having the opportunity to spend time with Ellie and see so many precious and dear friends but I feel the Lord calling me back to Alaska.

My current funding goal is to reach 75% by February 14th (4 weeks from now!). To reach that goal, an additional $6000 would need to be given or pledged. That’s 5 people who are able to give $100 a month or 10 people who can give $50 per month or 20 people who can give $25 per month in support of the work that God is doing at and through TBC.

• For the return of the TLC students for the second half of their year.

• For the upcoming ministry events at TBC including a remote teacher’s retreat, family conference, and of course summer camp to be a blessing to the people in SW Alaska
